Tummy Tuck

Abdominoplasty, the tummy tuck, can reshape and tighten up any stomach. By tightening the muscles and the skin, and by using liposuction to remove excess fat, this procedure can have a dramatic effect on your figure. The procedure involves making an incision within the bikini line that tightens the muscles, strengthens the abdominal wall and makes the waist smaller. This procedure must be performed under general anesthesia.

After surgery, you’ll be sore, but the discomfort can be controlled with medication. You’ll remain in bed for two or three days and by the end of the week you should be able to resume your regular activities. To help support the abdomen you’ll have to wear an abdominal supporter for a couple of weeks.

There’s no way to avoid scars, but your surgeon will do everything possible to minimize them and keep them well within the panty line. Many women come down two to three dress sizes, look slimmer and healthier, and feel terrific. They also report feeling younger, and better about themselves.
